The Challenge

Battello needed one partner instead of several. The restaurant fills a dining room on the Hudson with the Manhattan skyline behind it, and the same building sells weddings, corporate events and private parties — two audiences, two very different buying decisions, and a content demand that neither a kitchen nor an events team has time to meet. They wanted someone to run the website, keep social consistent, produce professional content on a schedule rather than in bursts, and make the place findable on Google for both sides of the business.

Our Approach

  • Made one calendar serve two audiences. A dining room and an events business want different things from the same feed, so the content plan carries both — the plate and the room, the Tuesday service and the Saturday wedding — instead of letting one crowd out the other.
  • Put production on a schedule instead of in bursts. Planned shoot days cover both the polished work and the native, phone-shot material, plus stills and graphics from the same visit — so there is always something worth posting and never a scramble the week it is due.
  • Owned the local search surface. Weekly Google Business posts, profile strength held above 90%, review management, and technical SEO on the site — because someone deciding where to eat on the waterfront tonight is searching, not scrolling.

Battello is two businesses in one building. On any night it is a contemporary Italian restaurant on the Jersey City waterfront; on any weekend it is a wedding and events venue with the Manhattan skyline as its backdrop. Both need to be found, and they are found by different people searching different things.

The work runs as a single rhythm rather than a set of separate services. One shoot feeds the reels, the stills and the ad creative; one content plan covers the dining room and the events calendar; the Google Business Profile is worked continuously rather than set up once and left. Keeping it on a schedule is most of why it compounds.

The clearest signal is in what people now search for. Over the ninety days to July 2026, searches for Battello as an Italian restaurant and wedding and events venue grew close to fivefold, from 245 impressions to 1,396 — the events side of the business becoming visible in its own right rather than only as a restaurant with a private room. Branded searches tying the name to Jersey City rose too, up 28%, and "Battello Jersey City NJ" nearly doubled.

Across the same window the profile did the converting: 4,386 calls from Google, up 31%, and 12,837 direction requests, up nearly 22% — a table booked or an event inquiry made, not a page view. The partnership has run since 2024; these figures cover the ninety days to July 2026.
